A thriving garden begins with healthy soil. In Utah, soil conditions can present unique challenges, affecting watering needs and nutrient availability. In this class, you’ll learn about soil texture, structure, essential nutrients, and the role of organic matter in supporting plant health. We’ll also cover composting techniques to recycle plant debris and enrich your garden soil. Taught by Helen Muntz, Education and Learning Garden Lead for the District, this class provides practical guidance for building and maintaining healthy, productive garden soil.
